Theme: “Awakened Hope”
– Usually Paul represents FAITH instead of HOPE as the channel of
Salvation (Romans 3:28). HOPE, though distinguished from FAITH (1 Cor.
13:13) is yet inseparable from it. It is HOPE that sets Salvation
vividly before the believer and so leads him to strive, by FAITH to
obtain it.
“It
is this Hope that Christ wants to Awaken in all of His children (Col.
1:27). It is the HOPE of Christ’s Character being placed in the
believer as we grow in FAITH (Matt. 5:1-12). It is the HOPE that all
Christians are to strive for through FAITH (Rom 8:24). It is this HOPE
that can never be separated from us because of our FAITH (Rom. 8:38,
39). It is this HOPE that leads us to Partake of His Divine Nature by
FAITH (2 Peter 1:4-8). It is by this HOPE that we witness for Him of
our FAITH (Matt. 28:18-20, Rom. 10:8-15). As we look to the author and
finisher of our faith that will complete the work He started in us by
the power of the Holy Spirit, we will manifest by Hope and Faith, a
lifestyle of growth and maturity in our Worship, Fellowship, Studying
of the Bible, and our Witness about Him for the Glory of God.”
